Please note, the listings below are NOT jobs (jobs are posted above). These are services that provide work-at-home job announcements. Some are free and others aren’t. While you never want to pay a company to hire you, its is okay to invest in a service that can help you find a job. The services below are the ones that I use and know to be reputable.
Telecommuting Job Databases (fee required to access these services)
HomeJobStop has over 100 jobs in clerical, and more in customer service, writing, transcription, miscellaneous plus 100′s of others. Very affordable.
VirtualAssistants has 100”s of Secretarial/General jobs plus 100′s more in other categories. Little more expensive but offers more jobs.
HomeWorker- Provides many great jobs in a variety of areas including virtual assistance, customer service and more. Very affordable.
Free job search sites (you need to search by keyword to find work-at-home jobs on these sites).
Hi! I wish there was a way to apply to these opportunities without having to pay first. It creates risk, and many qualified people who want to work from home desperately need the money (and can’t afford to lose any). I realize that the employment services need an effective way to “weed out” the lookee-loo’s from the actual qualified and serious applicants — just wish they would find a different way!
Hi! Legitimate jobs don’t require any fees to get hired. They may require you to have you’re own equipment, but employers never to charge to hire. When looking for a work-at-home job (employment) you do have the option to use telecommuting databases to search for jobs and many of those have a fee. But they aren’t offering a job. They are offering a service by which they weed out the scams and provide only work-at-home jobs. For people who don’t want to use them, many of the free job sites offer work-at-home jobs. But you need to understand telecommuting and how to avoid scams when you use them.
